Nick Lachey: Jessica Simpson’s Least Favorite Mistake

On TV, it would appear that Nick Lachey was the one who had to suffer through and endure the often vacuous antics of Jessica Simpson. Apparently, however, it was Simpson who had to pay the price–literally–for enduring Lachey.

A long way from the ditzy “Is this chicken, what I have, or is this fish? I know it’s tuna, but it says ‘Chicken of the Sea'” image she cultivated on Nick & Jessica: Newlyweds, Simpson is now a major business mogul with her line of shoes and clothing. For this reason, she appeared on the financially-geared Closing Bell on September 10th to respond to a few questions about her empire, as well as one regarding her “biggest money mistake.”

Without hesitating, Simpson cited her “first marriage” as the answer. Considering she had to give Lachey a $2 million settlement as a result of foolishly thinking she wanted to love him forever and not signing a pre-nup, it’s no wonder this was her reply.
