Nicki Minaj Doesn’t Care How Fancy Iggy Azalea is Until She Writes Her Own Music

Iggy Azalea may no longer be in the fast lane from L.A. to Tokyo. The rumor mill is abuzz after she gave her BET Awards acceptance speech for Best Female Hip Hop Artist and supposedly made a reference to fellow nominee Azalea for not writing her own damn verses.

Minaj stated, “What I want the world to know about Nicki Minaj is that when you hear Nicki Minaj spit, Nicki Minaj wrote it.” Though it really seemed that what she wanted the world to know about Nicki Minaj is that she thinks Azalea is an overrated bag of bullshit.

Regardless of whether this feud is all in the drug-addled imagination of the media (an entity that invariably takes as many “Pills and Potions” as Minaj) or if it’s merely being overblown for the sake of turning out a decent piece of gossip, it seems likely that this isn’t the last you’ve seen Minaj and Azalea’s names together in print–though hopefully it’s eventually because they’ve decided to duet together.
