New Castle May Or May Not Have Just Had An Innovative Advertising Moment With Aubrey Plaza

When you think spokesperson, Aubrey Plaza isn’t exactly the first face that pops into your head. Regardless, New Castle–wielding the tag line “No Bollocks,” which makes Plaza seem like a more fitting choice–has chosen her to be in their advertisement for an eventual advertisement, pending they can get the funds.

Showcasing Plaza’s distinct brand of sarcasm against the incongruity of her dressed as a milkmaid in front of a cow, we’re not really quite sure what Plaza is supposed to be advertising–the beer itself or the potential of another, more high-budget commercial for the beer that will appear during a coveted Super Bowl commercial spot.

With plans to crowdfund a bigger, better commercial using this petite, disinterested one, New Castle is making a bold move or possible a daft one. Either way, they’re treading on territory that few other companies have risked in the world of advertising. And perhaps that alone is enough to show the gallantry that most other businesses seem to be lacking in their approach to the world of self-promotion.
